"Placenta Praevia"

About: Royal United Hospital

I had placenta praevia, I was In for a total of 9 days, first 5 days before c-section I was offered drugs from trolley everyday despite not needing any. After op I was woken up at 6 am next day and lifted out of bed. I was sat in a chair across the far side away from the midwife buzzer. They said they'd be back to help me shower. 3 hours later I was still sat there unable to move. My baby was screaming and so was I, nobody came. Nobody came round with drug trolley after that. My meds were forgotten and evidentially I should've known what time to request my meds! I was out of it, I had a newborn baby to look after, I had no clue what time I needed meds and I assumed that because they were so freely offered to me before surgery that they would bring the trolley round to me.

Never having a baby here again if I can help it!
