"A trip to Lincoln county A&E"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

During my visit, I thought the A&E department was understaffed and the footfall through was high. This meant challenging and relentless work for all staff from reception, through to triage assessment by Dr and beyond.

Despite the difficult conditions I witnessed all staff making the effort to go the extra mile in supporting the public's needs even when these needs fell outside of their job description.

Nothing was too much trouble and getting people assessed treated and home safely was the priority. Without enough staff, this took a long time. But the dedication to the task was clearly evident, unwavering and delivered with good humour and warmth.

Congratulations ULHT A&E on continuing to shine in the face of adversity
