1st appoint was very good and consultant first class for laser treatment after having to rearrange the apts due to staff thinking it was acceptable for patients living well over an hours journey away to attend at 8AM.
2nd apt was a disaster due to a different consultant setting the laser wrongly and making me extremely unwell (other medical conditions) and leaving my eye still on fire a week after the incident.
Now been given an apt with original consultant again for me to be there at 8.25AM.
I have to ask why the hospital allows such a blatant waste of money by sending out apt which are obviously totally unsuitable. It's an extremely expensive way of making sure the apt is moved later down the list.
Put a traffic light system on the computer to indicate the traveling distance patients have to travel and make sure an appropriate apt is given.
This is not the first awful experience suffered by me at NDDH or the eye dept. I'm coming to the conclusion I would rather lose my sight than having to deal with the distress caused by certain members of staff.
"Devastated on one count very frustrated on another"
