"Becoming a bodybuilder"

About: St Andrew's Healthcare Birmingham / Hurst

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I wanted to become a body builder. I feel I still got a good ten years in me. I feel I was not doing anything wrong, but people said I was.

Thank you for taking the time to register your opinion.

It is vital that we work with each person individually to identify goals and targets, to tailor care to their personal needs. However, we need to balance this with maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and keeping people safe, which can sometimes cause conflict in theway we approach activity planning.

It may be useful for you to sit with your care coordinator and discuss what aspects of bodybuilding particularly interest you, and see if these can be incorporated into an activity plan that suits you, and the care team.
