"Last minute decision for c section"

About: Royal Oldham Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

I had Planned a vaginal birth but last minute decided wanted a c section as my waters had gone and it had been over 24hrs since it had gone. I had an internal examination done and was told the drip wouldn't likely to work and would probably end up with a c section. I then got moved to labour ward and told the doctor my decision for c section but they didn't seem very happy. The doctor tried changing my mind and I think they went a rude way about it but the midwives were lovely. They assured me that it was my body and my decision and whatever I want will happen. Midwives were also really helpful after birth and really looked after me and baba.
