"Serious concerns about the cardiology..."

About: Derriford Hospital / Cardiology

I am writing the review on behalf of my brother who is currently in the cardiology ward yet again. This is his 5 emergency admittance in the last 2 months. He has been given different and conflicting information about his condition and planned treatment but the outcome is always the same... tablets and sent home.. he was last admitted 6 days ago and told he had suffered a hart attack - we thought now surly they must do something, wrong a few days later he was told he could go home, no X-ray or MRI just more tablets. We know AF if this is what is happening ? is a treatable condition, but surely a patient being presented with such frequency needs a full investigation and attention. I have serious concerns that something "not right" is happening in this department and questions must be asked. Is lack of money effecting treatment or is it shortage of experienced staff ? either way a review or risk assessment needs to be carried out to ensure the best is being done for all patients being admitted to this department.
