I wanted to give you a brief taste of my recent experience at FPH. I was bought in by ambulance.
I was having chest pains, neck and arm pains. From the paramedic who bought me in, right through to the discharge from CCU, the service was exemplary. I was diagnosed with a heart attack in A&E, rushed to the Cath Lab as a priority, 3 stents inserted, awaiting a 4th on August 21st. Consistently told I was a lucky boy, I'm 47 this doesn't happen to people of my age!
Right from the porter in A&E, who, was a terrific support and very reassuring on my journey, to the CCU nurse, who was with me all through the night telling me to be positive and strong. These people and everyone in between were caring, professional and understanding. You should be very proud of your staff, I know I certainly owe them a great debt of gratitude, which I could never begin to repay.
I've been back twice since this episode ( I'm not a stalker!!! ) once with suspected MI again and today with possible DVT. Again, brilliant service in challenging circumstances.
I would be very grateful if you would somehow ensure a mention in dispatches, especially to these two who really did go above and beyond the call of duty.
Please do not hesitate to contact me for clarification.
