"My bunion removal and toe re-alignment surgery"

My operation was on 21st June 2017 and I was anxious about having a local anaesthetic. From the moment of my arrival at Holme Valley Hospital in Holmfirth, staff were very attentive and put me at ease; explaining everything they were doing, why and what would happen next. The op went without a hitch thanks to the theatre staff and Mr Jaggar (Surgeon); in fact it seemed to be over a lot sooner than I had imagined and I put this down to the relaxed but professional approach of all the staff who engaged me in general conversation, banter and even a bit of a sing-a-long with the radio. The headphones I had taken in with me to wear were not needed at all.

Pre and post operative appointments have been punctual and carried out by caring and passionate staff to professional standards, and to my absolute satisfaction. Mr Jaggar was true to his word. Only 2 weeks since my op and not only is it a very neat job but my foot is straighter than I can ever remember it being with very little sign that a painful and unsightly bunion was ever there at all; what an amazing skill to have that will improve the quality of my life on a daily basis.
