Community care during pregnancy - 2/5
Communication between midwives for subsequent appointments was poor, requests for changes of information on notes weren't always carried out, occasionally I would have to ring up to make bookings that the midwife was supposed to make. I would ask questions and responses were often "ask google" or an irrelevant routine patter. Midwives seemed overstretched and appointments were often too short. Basic things like an introduction with their name was often missed and I rarely saw the same midwife, meaning care was slightly impersonal. Current guidelines were contradicted e. g. Peanut allergy.
Labour and childbirth - 5/5
Extremely high level of care, I felt reassured and important at each stage. My baby is doing great and has been monitored consistently, midwives at the Royal Oldham are truly fantastic, they are committed, professional and attentive.
