"Excellence across emergency care"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Cardiology & Coronary Care Unit Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a service user),

I took ill during a gym class and was attended by an Edinburgh ambulance crew in the most professional and caring way. They were calm, reassuring and informative whilst being efficient and effective in their assessment, diagnosis, treatment and onward transport to hospital. Please pass my thanks to Alex  and his colleague (sorry I can't recall his name) who cared for me.

On arrival at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary the Cardiac specialist team were friendly undertaking their work with care and humour whilst reassuring me at a time of great worry. The nursing staff in CCU were kind, caring and attentive. In particular I'd like to thank Nicky, Lauren and Penny for their kindness, professionalism and compassion.

Dear EMF

Thanks for taking the time to share your kind words about the Cardiac specialist team and nursing staff in CCU at The Royal Infirmary. I can imagine this must have been a really frightening time for you and I am delighted to hear about the kindness and compassion you experienced.

I will make sure that the nurses you have mentioned are aware you have sent them this lovely message of thanks and hope that you are on the mend.

Dear EMF

Thank you so much for sharing your experience on Care Opinion. I agree with Gillian that this must have been an extremely frightening experience for you. I am so pleased to hear about the care that you received from Alex and his crewmate and from the staff at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

I would really like to share your compliment with the ambulance crew who cared for you but would need a few more details to allow me to identify them. If you are able to provide a few more details you can contact me on 0131 314 0003 or at martinesposito@nhs.net

I do hope that you have now recovered and wish you well for the future.

Take care

Martin.
