It takes a minimum of 40 calls, most of which ring and ring until the line cuts off and some of which come out as "busy" even when your calls are 3 seconds apart which makes you wonder if you're the unluckiest person or if they just sit and pick and choose which calls to take.
You cannot contact a midwife directly and you need to go through this community midwives line so when your midwife tells you that they're if you need them, they are not. The midwife really is not because it's a matter of days before you speak to them sometimes. The midwife might call once and from an unknown number so if you miss it, you're screwed.
When they come to see you, it's any time between 9 and 5 so you're stuck at home all day and even though they have your number, if they knock and you miss it, they'll call you after to tell you they missed you as opposed to calling at the door just to check.
So glad I'm booked in with Jessops but it's so unfortunate my GP surgery is in Rotherham so I've been stuck with this atrocious service for 9 months!!
"Community midwives line is atrocious. Worst..."
