I wrote a review but it was rejected because I wrote it in capitals which I didn't know was classified as "shouting" on the internet !!!!!!
My husband was in Medical short term ward I didn't realise it at the time but he was dying
There was a junior sister on the ward who should never be a nurse
1. They had been attending my husband for a couple of times but had to ask his son what his father's name was.....how insulting is that
2.They were putting a cannula in his arm but there was one in his other arm but they refused to take it out saying the nurse would do it......how good is that for the patient
3.I asked this member of staff about helping my husband who'd wet the bed.....I waited 25 minutes I timed it on the ward clock in the end I changed my husband and stripped the bed my self
4.
The member of staff never at any time looked as if you could approach them..They smiled once but only at a member of staff....They acted as if they really didn't want to help
5. My husband was not eating or drinking properly I told the staff this not one member looked in his mouth when he came home our GP found my husbands mouth full of thrush..my husband was suffering with sore mouth and nobody did anything about it
there are chairs at a table outside the ward which the staff sit at I asked if I could take one but was refused even though it said "For patient use only"
The staff argued one night whose turn it was to go off for a break.....is that what you do in front of patients
I would not recommend this part of the hospital at all my husband was dying and his care was very questionable
A note to those who check these reviews I am extremely offended by my dying husband's care and I'm sure you would be if it was your relative
Again you actually haven't got the name of the department in your list of choices
"Some people should not be nurses"
