"Health and therapy team"

About: Brooksby Day Hospital / Occupational Therapy Brooksby Day Hospital / Physiotherapy

(as the patient),

After a hip replacement operation I was struggling with walking, pain and anemia, felling really low and that I would never get better. The health and care team from Brooksbay in Largs got in touch and provided medical, physiotherapy and occupational therapy.

The three services work very well together and not only made me physically much better but also mentally much improved and gave me much more confidence in carrying on with a normal life

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear Horace580,

It is easy to get low when you lose some of your fitness or independence, so it is great to hear you are getting better on all fronts. It is also very pleasing that the staff have been so influential in your recovery, thank you so much for sharing this with us. I am sure it will make their day too.

I wish you as full an onward recovery possible,

Best wishes,

Eunice
