My daughter was referred to CAMHS by our family GP in March 2017.
Since then we have been told she may have ADHD and we were awaiting a referral to that team.
Nothing happened despite me chasing the referral on many occasions. A decision was made in May that my daughter did not ave ADHD, this despite no one actually meeting my daughter.
I have now been informed that practitioners thought my daughter may have autism, again without any consultation with either me or my daughter.
Today, 26 June I have been advised that my daughter's case wil go back to CAMHS.
I have now been told that the manager of CAMHS, whom does not hold an adolescent mental health qualification has decided, again without meeting me or my daughter that she should see the school nurse. It has taken months to receive this decision.
In that time my daughter has been permanently excluded, possibly been the victim of CSE and is abusing drugs.
The service and support we have received from CAMHS is absolutely appalling.
The treatment has contributed to daughter's
complete breakdown.
I have completely lost faith in the NHS.
Dignity and respect?
I don't believe it exists in this service.
I would ask for a response but I probably won't receive one for at least four months.
"Appalling service complete lack of respect for..."
