Hi
I was admitted on 25th June. Had 3 paramedic/ambulance staff. So friendly and looked after me well. I had a really, really bad headache and was vomiting a lot.
It was my first time to be admitted at RUH. The nurses and doctors were really lovely and very friendly. I can't find any fault with them. My husband had to take my daughter home. As I am profoundly deaf and a BSL user. They made effort to write down and explain clearly.
Turned out I have had very, very bad migraine which I never had any in my life.
One of the nurses came and said how do I get home, it was at 11.30pm. The nurse tried ringing my husband lots of time and could not get through. I got told I will go home in taxi and in my pj!! I would have said no to get in taxi, and in my pj. Unfortunately my daughter had to wake up and answered the phone. She is underage and in bed for school. My husband is partially deaf.
To send anyone home in pj, alone, not well, elderly and etc at midnight or after, surely not acceptable?
"Fantastic staff in A&E"
