"Accident and Emergency"

About: Scarborough General Hospital / Accident and emergency

We had arrived on holiday and were walking near the Sealife Centre when my Dad tripped over. He cut his forehead quite badly. I rang for an ambulance which came very quickly and the crew were amazing and very kind. They took Dad to hospital as the wound needed stitching. From the reception staff to nurses and doctors I cannot comment highly enough how he was treated. He was assessed very quickly and then had a blood test. After which he quickly had a ct scan and then the doctor sutured the wound and a nurse dressed his arm. The doctor even phoned our local hospital in Southend to check on Dads last blood results. Everyone was very efficient and extremely kind and made what was a very upsetting time as good as it could be. We could then carry on with our holiday knowing he bad been well checked over and treated. Thank you to everyone involved with our visit!

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

I am very sorry to hear that your dad had a fall whilst on Holiday in Scarborough, I hope you managed to enjoy some of your time there despite the accident.

I am so pleased to hear that ambulance staff were prompt at arriving and that your dad was treated so well on arrival to our Emergency Department. It's great to hear that our staff were so efficient and kind throughout.

Wishing dad the best.

Kind regards
