On the night of Saturday 24 June, I accidentally lost my balance at a party at The Rooftop Gardens in Kensington, fell backwards, and the back of my head landed on a stone slab. I believe I was unconscious for a short while, and my head was bleeding.
The Ambulance staff were brilliant. I believe they arrived within 20 minutes or thereabouts. They were professional yet friendly, and they patched me up sufficiently for me to be taken to A&E at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital.
Here again the staff were superb. I was given a bed without waiting, my would looked at, my blood pressure taken, a sample of blood taken for analysis (I am on Warfarin), and then taken for a CT scan. On the basis of no adverse findings, my wound was dressed, advice given for the next 48 hours along with the appropriate painkillers and then discharged.
As always, the NHS is brilliant in an emergency! Thank you all!
