A sincere massive thanks to all the staff involved on the day of my sons Operation under general anaesthetic last week. As is the consensus with all these reviews, the staff are amazing, nothing but nothing is too much trouble.
The pre-op care was great, the anaesthetist and team members made me (Dad) at ease as much as they could possibly have done, given the circumstances. They made my son feel at ease and even provided a PS4for him to play with pre-op!
Operation was performed by the surgeon- superb. Honest information on what was going to happen and what the after effects were likely to be so no surprises. Post op care again fantastic- not rushed away from the hospital- just genuine care for my son.
I appreciate everyone is under extreme pressure in all parts of the NHS and people are forever criticising the system. However from my experience at this hospital, I have nothing but admiration for what the staff do. The professionalism in which they go about their roles and the genuine loving care they provide is great- you guys are worth your weight in gold. You made a challenging time for us great.
Thanks again
