My son had an accident and his hand went through a mirror, severing his artery as well as his cara ulnar tendon (I think that's what you call it). He was blue-lighted from Monklands General in Airdrie to Hairmyres in East Kilbride for an emergency operation by Mr Eslami, to repair the vein and tendon.
He spent almost 3 hours in surgery, which were the most terrifying 3 hours of my entire life. I don't even know where to begin in order to thank everyone involved in my son's treatment and care. From the surgeons and theatre staff, to the ward nurses, auxiliaries and canteen staff, every last one of them were the ultimate professionals, and I'm happy to say my son is now home and recovering.
I owe each and every one of you my life, as without my son I do not have one.
From the very bottom of my heart, a very big thank you.
NHS - the envy of every nation n the world. And with good reason.
Much love
