"I was an emergency admission in ..."

About: Musgrove Park Hospital (Taunton)

What I liked

I was an emergency admission in Feb 2009, due to a complicated form of tonsillitis progressing and becoming an abscess on my tonsil (quinsy). I needed antibiotics via an IV. The doctors and nurses who treated me were wonderful and treated me with dignity and were always on hand to answer any questions I had and would always greet me with a smile and would have a chat with me. They made my stay in hospital as enjoyable as it could be and really eased the anxiousness that I felt.

The room I was in was clean and all the parts of the hospital I saw during my stay were also very clean.

What could be improved

The parking charges, or at least the ability to be able to pay with notes and then be given coin change.

Anything else?

I would definitely recommend Musgrove and even though I live closer to another hospital, Musgrove will always be my hospital of choice as my experiences at the other one have been far from good.

Thank you for your very positive comments - I hope you are now fully recovered. The car park machines do take all notes except £20, and cards. We have recently reviewed our consessionary car park charges to help people who are admitted for a longer time.

Thank you again for taking the time to comment.
