"after care in sunderland and A&E dept"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / General surgery

not happy with aftercare in Sunderland after having procedure done nurses not very friendly or caring seemed to just be left except for having blood pressure done stayed overnight didn't check on me during the night took 2 of my own painkillers and didn't even make a note of it on my records had to wait for doctor to come round the next day till 3pm.All the doctor said was straightforward no inflammation or stones in gallbladder take painkillers and go home no follow up appointment to discuss anything not happy with this couldn't wait to move on went home that day back in a & e next day terrific stabbing pain in right side and uvala very swollen triage nurse was very abrupt with me kept saying they couldn't comment on anything I was saying to them quite a rude person for someone in that department sent me to medoc where I had a 3 hour wait after all that because I was bleeding the dressings needed to be changed the doctor couldn't do it there so I had to make an apt for the hot clinic the next day. All of this when I felt really terrible and in a lot of pain was disgusting the way I had been treated In my opinion I shouldn't have been sent home they didnt even check the wounds before I came home or asked if I had been to the toilet there just didnt seem like there was any care like there used to be before when having a procedure done I then had to go back to A & E for a second time with this sharpe pain in my side Saw a consultant from Kings College Hospital spoke to me in the reception area of A & E which was not appropriate about my problem instead of taking me into a private room was probably done for quickness but i wasant happy about it .So all in all was not very happy with my stay in the Sunderland or treatment in the A & E unless its an emergency I don't think I will have any thing else done in Medway Hospital I thought things were supposed to be better Im sorry to say that on my account they were not .
