What I liked

It is a very happy unit and was organised from the start. The nurses, especially chief nurse (male but can't remember his name), were efficient, friendly and very communicative. I was left in no doubt as to what was to happen. Then the Doctor checked me out and he was excellent and efficient. The procedure was described clearly, I received appropriate briefings and was kept informed (as we all were) when the emergency patients where brought in by paramedics.

Immediately upon returning to my bed after the procedure a young male nurse asked me what sort of sandwich I would like, and how I liked my tea. He brought these within a couple of minutes along with a tea for my wife who was made to feel welcome during the whole time I was there.

Within 10 mins of the procedure the Dr came over and discussed the results.

When I was allowed to go home, questions were answered and documents given and discussed in case I was uncomfortable during recovery at home.

There was a buzz about the unit, a friendliness amongst all manner of staff and the classical music that played quietly on the small hifi was superb. We arrived stressed out and worried and left relaxed. How many times can one say that about a hospital?

Nothing as far as I could see.
