"First Class Care"

About: Dewsbury & District Hospital

I went to the A & E Department at Dewsbury Hospital, via NHS 111 telephone service, on the 7th June and was then moved to the MAU.

I received excellent treatment from all staff in both of these busy departments - nothing was too much trouble.

I was then moved to Ward 6, another extremely busy ward, where the Doctors, Nurses and Support staff work very hard in sometimes difficult circumstances but are still kind, pleasant and caring and do a first class job. The Voluntary Staff are to be praised too as they carry out a very much needed service.

With respect to the food, this is very good considering the amount that will be allocated per patient for meals as like all other hospitals.

I was discharged on the 12th June and would like to thank all concerned, particularly Ward 6, where I spent the most of my stay. Without doubt they are all a credit to the Mid Yorkshire Trust.
