I was admitted as an emergency case after being contacted in the evening by the cancer centre due to blood irregularities identified from a routine blood test in the afternoon. Within minutes of arrival I had seen a consultant and despite my shock at being told leukaemia was suspected felt reassured at the prompt professionalism and calmness of the consultants and nursing staff. My experience of the cancer centre since then has continued at the same level during my treatment over the last 10 months. Every member of the team, receptionists, nursing staff, housekeeping, porters and doctors provide outstanding service and are always prepared to spend time with patients to make things that little bit easier at a difficult time. My treatment has been successful and I now feel so much better, I have so much to thank the Cancer Centre for.
"Fantastic treatment"
