"Positive day surgery experience"

Had TMJ washout day surgery under general anaesthetic and my experience was positive.

Both the surgeon and anaesthetist took time to explain everything, reassure me and I had time to ask lots of questions.

Nursing staff pleasant and efficient.

They asked me lots of questions (allergies etc), to the point of repeating myself many times.

I was booked in for morning surgery, so arrived at 7am, but did not go down to theatre until almost 11.45.

That bit was the worst, but obviously luck of the draw where you are on the list.

Operation went well, felt looked after in recovery. Given discharge paperwork and pain relief promptly.
