"They were lovely and really made me feel at ease"

About: Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I went to my GP with a gynae problem. Firstly the Junior Dr GP did an excellent job and was really reassuring and thorough. They got straight on to getting senior advice and managed to arrange for me to be seen at Gynae outpatients at QMC the same afternoon.

An hour and a half later I was in the Gynae clinic, waited less than 10 minutes before being seen by a lovely auxiliary nurse and then had my consultation with the Registrar and Specialist Nurse. They were lovely and really made me feel at ease. I make a much better health professional than patient - it's scary being on the other side but my fellow team NUH members were brilliant!

Thanks for the lovely comments. I’m pleased to hear we were able to help you feel at ease. I’ve shared your feedback with the team.

You might be aware that nominations have recently opened for NUHonours, our annual staff awards. In light of your positive experience I thought you might want to make a nomination (which would fall under the Family Health Division Award). If you wish to, you can find out more and make a nomination on our website: www.nuh.nhs.uk/nuhonours.

Thanks again for taking time to share your comments, it means a lot. Sounds like you are as proud to be a member of ‘teamNUH’ as me!

Best wishes,

Sarah Kordula.

Ward Manager, A23 Gynaecology Outpatients.
