About: Goring Hall Hospital

I would like to start by saying how awful this hospital is firstly for there organisation.

I first get called in an hour before my ultra sound to wait 20 minutes later than my original appointment time.

Secondly I get booked in for keyhole. One week before it's due I get two letters to say it's rescheduled.

I've already had to re arrange my work and child care and no one on the phone can answer me as to why.

Absolutely fuming

I am sorry to hear that you had to wait 20 minutes later than your original appointment time for your scan.

Although we endeavour to keep to our schedule, there are times when due to unforeseen circumstances delays do occur.

I appreciate how frustrating this can be, but it is difficult to pre-empt this in a hospital due to the differing requirements of each appointment.

It is also regretful to hear that your keyhole procedure has been rescheduled; if you can email me your name and original date of procedure details, I will look into this further and come back to you with a full response (Gary.McHardy@bmihealthcare.co.uk)

All feedback is shared with our staff and when an issue has been brought to our attention, we always investigate the circumstances to try and identify ways we can improve our processes and prevent the situations from happening again.

However, there are occasions, due to unforeseen circumstances, when it is deemed the best or safest decision for the patient that we cancel/reschedule the operation.
