About: Douglas Street Community Health Clinic NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service)

(as a service user),

Visiting a friends, said I wasn't feeling great - she called NHS 24. Spoke to a call handler, then a nurse. Was told I would get a phone call within four hours to get an appointment to see a doctor.

Call came within 2 hours, and given an appointment for a short time later, at Douglas St Hamilton. A Nurse took my blood pressure & a few minutes later I saw a young female doctor, who asked a few questions, listened to the answers, checked my chest & back and prescribes antibiotics. A wonderful service, second to none!
