"I have waited patiently four years for an appointment"

About: Tameside General Hospital / Neurology

(as other),

Hi I was diagnosed with PPMS in 2013, primary progressive multiple sclerosis. The journey I have been through has been a lonely painful and long process, I was put in touch with the MS nurses at tameside hospital and telephoned them for my first and well needed consultation to explain this horrendous chronic disease and how I could come to terms with it. I felt lonely isolated and frankly scared of what the future would hold. I was asked by the nurse if I really needed the appointment as the clinic was a busy one and they were extremely stretched. I said I needed to see them as I was depressed scared and totally ignorant of the disease. The appointment did not come, I have subsequently been referred by my GP, Neurologist x2 and waited patiently for four years for an appointment and still not received one Could you please explain the discrimination I am enduring or do you generally not have any MS nurses
