"Fantastic patient care"

About: Addenbrooke's Hospital / Accident and emergency

My mum has advanced dementia.

Yesterday afternoon she had a fall, cut her head and was taken to Addenbroke's by ambulance.

Everyone involved from ambulance crew to transport home was kind, patient, caring, professional.

I cannot praise them enough.

Mum is doubly incontinent and unable to communicate, she is also restless and agitated - not an easy patient.

I always expect the highest standards of treatment at Addenbroke's but the kindness, good humour and consideration for her needs (including food and drinks) was wonderful.

Thank you to everyone involved, I cannot praise you enough.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, at what must have been a very worrying time for you. It is really positive to hear that staff supported your mother with good humour and consideration of her needs. We hope she is recovering well from her admission and would like to reassure you that your feedback will be shared with the emergency department staff.
