What I liked
nothing really.
What could be improved
more civilised and caring nursing staff. more attention to infection controll, when we asked about cleaning our hands before seeing my father, we were told "it doesnt matter!". n ot allowing patients to lay on the bed in dirty trainers. more reassurance to patients, my father is 80 years old and was concerned he hadnt had his heart medication . again he was told "it wont matter" he asked for assistance in moving up the bed as he had slid down, the nurse said "cant you do it yourself?" when he replied "no" she said "I cant help you , i'm on my own everyone else is on their break. staff can't seem to do a simple thing like add thickener to his liquids - it turned out to look like a cup of jelly! When the time came for him to try some food (which must be soft) he was given a bit of mashed potato and gravy. when he asked for a cup of tea he was told he would have to wait as they had run out of milk. no proper civilised conversation or reassurance!
Anything else?
what are nursing staff actually paid to do?
"nothing really."
