"My family tell me that my care was excellent"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital / Respiratory medicine

(as the patient),

My wife took me to A&E with breathing difficulties and a fast heart rate. I was soon in ICU, where I stayed for 16 days, then a couple of days in HDU followed by a few days in C4, the respiratory ward recovering from pneumonia. I don't remember anything after walking in to A&E until I was moved from C4 to A10, the rehabilitation ward some three weeks later. After a week or so here, I was discharged.

My family tell me that my care was excellent, the staff helpful and attentive, and the wonderful diary the staff kept of my time in ICU fills in some blanks for me!

When I became conscious and started eating, the food was excellent - hot and really tasty.

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive feedback with us regarding your care and treatment . I was pleased to read that your family explained that your care you received was excellent. I was also pleased to read that you are now at home recovering after what must have been a very worry time for yourself and your family. I have passed your feedback on the management team who will ensure that the staff are informed of your feedback.

Thank you once again for posting such a positive review and I would like to wish you well for the future.

Kind regards

Case Officer
