What I liked
My 90 year old husband was admitted on the 1st June, 2010 in a very poor state. He was admitted to Chaldon Ward after a wait of some 10 hours in A&E, during this time he was seen by Dr.'s and staff - the wait was due to finding a bed. The treatment he received in Chaldon Ward was second to none by Dr's, Nurses and ancillary staff so much so that he was discharged yesterday morning.
What could be improved
The time is now 1pm Wednesday the 30th June, 2010 some 30hours after discharge and still he has not been seen by the Rapid Response Team. He is taking-up valuable space in this Ward and, of course, he is becoming increasingly upset by this interminable delay. Perhaps they should be re-names the Tardy Response Team. Absolutely disgraceful particularly after all the wonderful treatment and attention he has received. It leaves
