Always surprises me when people complain about the service on the NHS. Not at all my experience at St. Thomas' Hospital over the years. On the contrary. My latest outpatient appointments have proven to be no exception, my treatment being handled with speed, care and efficiency througout. From the initial referral by my GP, through preliminary investigation, follow-up exploration, culminating in an explanation of the results and expert advice on the way forward, the service has been faultless. Looking back, what I especially appreciate is that, when faced with the slightest doubt, the doctors and nurses ordered more tests to narrow down the possibilities. My thanks to all the good people who looked after me in Cardiology and Radiology.
