"Referral from Kingsbridge minor injuries unit."

On 2nd. June I was referred by Kingsbridge minor injuries unit because their x-ray facility was out of use.

On arrival I was welcomed and within 5 minutes I was taken for an x-ray.

Shortly afterwards I was invited to view the x-ray when an ankle fracture was confirmed.

I was then treated to an entertaining and informative lecture by a member of staff whilst they plastered the lower leg.

They then advised on how to use the crutches and go about things before I was reviewed at Derriford.

On7th. June I returned to pick up a walking cane which I had left behind and which was safely kept at reception.

All in all, from reception to exit I was very impressed at the way in which this unit operated.
