"All the doctors nursing and admin ..."

About: Guy's Hospital

What I liked

All the doctors nursing and admin staff have good intentions.

What could be improved

A little bit more time listening to what a patient has to say and encouraging patients to talk about their physical problems. Not rushing them in and out and keeping them informed of what the tests mean and treatment. Patients do understand what doctors are saying but sometimes 5 minutes to actually explain what the problem is, the illness they are suffering from is, what causes it and give the patients a little indication of how to manage their problems. These are all problems which I have experienced across many departments. It sometimes feels as if you are just a number and all they want is a quick diagnosis to get you out.

Anything else?

This could be an exceptionally good hospital however I felt at every appointment across departments I was rushed in and out in under 10 minutes. This didn't allow me to tell the doctors my problems and when I did they were generally misbelieving or dismissive and at times quite rude when trying to explain that something wasn't true. This left me feeling exceptionally frustrated with the care I recieved. I would never request to visit this hospital again.
