Went to a assessment to be an inpatient. Meeting was with the ward clerk who does all the admissions and beds etc and a nurse. Ward clerk was very unprofessional in their manner very controlling and came across very aggressive . Meeting was very uncomfortable around them and really felt they could become very aggressive if they had the chance if you were a inpatient and upset them. They had the cheek to say I couldn't have a Solicitor present. Said that a full search would take place every time you left ward and when you return. Found that very degrading for anyone to be search if they experience any kind of abuse. The ward clerk said no cigarettes were allowed to be bought in as no smoking hospital which felt like they were taking your rights away as you can go out of the hospital to smoke like other hospitals. This unit has the cheek to make you sign a contract about your behaviour on ward but they tell you if you don't sign you can't be on their ward. But they don't want you to have legal representive. Was also shouted at by ward clerk that it their ward they would chuck you out if behaviour was not to their standards. How can they treat people who have an ed and use food as control. This unit needs to be investigated by people in a higher rank. This unit is still treating patient as it a asylum or like they are in prison.t
