"very happy"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

I was diagnosed with bowel cancer after a routine screening in 2015 and from the start I was treated extremely well, from first appointments to discharge. My operation went well and although my recovery took a bit longer than anticipated I could not fault the staff at all from the people that done all the pre op tests to the surgeon, theatre staff, the nurses and cleaning staff etc they were all brilliant, nothing was ever to much trouble. I was later referred to oncology for chemotherapy and again I can not fault how I was treated. Everything was explained thoroughly as to how my treatment would progress and although I had a severe reaction and had to be admitted, then got ' Flu' and had to be admitted again nobody made me feel like it was ' my fault' and it shouldn't have happened. I am still undergoing routine tests and hope for a positive outcome.

Thank you for taking the time to post these lovely comments. We appreciate how difficult it is going through your treatment and having to come in and out of hospital so much, so its good to know that you are being treated so well by all the staff involved.

I will pass your comments to the staff who will be delighted to receive your praise.

I hope that you continue to do well and wish you all the very best for your future treatment.

Kind regards

Marion
