The physiotherapy department process is appalling. 8 weeks after breaking my ankle in 3 places and dislocating it physiotherapy is clearly needed. Not allowed to book an appointment in person after seeing the consultant in the fracture clinic. Not allowed to book online. Not allowed to book a senior physiotherapist because the injury was so bad. Told I'll be called for an appointment. Told they will contact me. No number given for me to call. 2 weeks later sent a letter saying call by this date or you are being discharged. If you write a letter why not write with an appointment?
System is designed to put patients off appointments to make it difficult to save money short term at the expense of the patients health and at increased NHS expense furtjer down the line as outcomes will be worse as Frimley wriggle out of proper rehabilitation for patients.
Unprofessional
Unethical
Uncaring
Short sighted
Ultimately more costly
This is a pathetic service
