"She was treated with kindness"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Palliative Care

(as a relative),

My aunt spent her final days under the care of Consultants and Nursing staff at Ayr Hospital. She was 92. She died today but it was reassuring to know that she was treated with kindest and expert palliative care by the medical staff. For that we are most grateful and wish to record our thanks.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear Kwetu,

Please accept my condolences and thanks for taking time to pass your sentiments at such a poignant time. I do firmly believe that good care at end of life is the last, but most important thing we can do for our loved ones and it is heartening that your aunt experienced kindness and expert care.

I will be very pleased to pass on your thanks for your Aunt's care. I know the staff will appreciate that you have taken the time to share this with us,

Kindest regards,

Eunice
