I had neurosurgery for a rare type of pituitary tumour in May 2017.
The care the consultants provided was outstanding and the operation a success, leading me to be able to return home just two days after surgery, where I am making what I am told is a text book recovery..
The follow-up care has been very impressive with the consultants coming to check up on me in the evening directly after the event, on the weekend that followed in hospital and then by phone subsequently. I look forward to seeing both at appointments over the weeks ahead.
Having such surgery can be very stressful as the anticipation of needing such an invasive surgery is inevitably worrying. However, the care, knowledge and skill both consultants provided as well as the help given by the other staff at the hospital made sure everything went as smoothly and calmly as possible. For this I am very grateful.
If you are in their care you are in the best possible hands.
