What I liked
I sought urgent attention at the Hospital after gashing my right wrist on a broken ceramic basin. The receptionist checked the wound and I was seen by the nurse on duty, who was attending to another patient, within twenty minutes. I was pleased when they explained my options as they cleaned and inspected the wound. I decided to have a local anaesthetic and to have my wrist stitched.
The procedure was all over in a few minutes and I was asked to return on the thursday to have the dressing changed. My stitches were removed today, one week later and the 1" gash is healing nicely. I don't think a Plastic Surgeon could have done a neater job.
What could be improved
I can think of nothing that could have been improved from my visit to Hornsea Cottage Hospital for outpatient treatment.
Anything else?
Just a thank you to the staff involved.
