I badly broke my collarbone in July 2016 and whilst the A&E nurse initially thought I could get away with no operation, they asked for an Orthopedic doctor for a second opinion. I then met a lovely orthopedic doctor who agreed with the nurse and they too wanted a second opinion from the consultant. After following this up with their colleagues they decided that an operation was necessary and a week later I had surgery. Since then I have recovered well and am now fully healed.
From Day 1 the care has been fantastic; a level of care I cannot fault. From A&E, to the day of the operation to the out patients team each an every member of staff has been fantastic. The collarbone has healed really well with no negative after effects.
I am so thankful to the initial A&E nurse and the doctor who kept asking for second opinions, as it means I have a lovely straight collarbone once again! A special thank you to the surgeon and the trainee surgeon who operated on me and fixed my collarbone.
