Hello, I'm writing to say "Thank You" for the continuing excellent care I received last week on my journey towards diagnosis.
On the 15th May 2017 I had an appointment in the Cardiac CT scanning dept.
I was greeted by a professional, patient and friendly member of staff.
The procedure was explained by a most kind radiologist who inserted the cannula.
In the scanning room I met two more very kind radiologists who went to great lengths to make me comfortable on the table. During the scan itself I felt quite unwell and would like to say a "Special Thank You" to the person who came to my aid and took control of the situation with such profound kindness and patience.
Since first attending the Brompton in December 2016 I have met only with kindness, professionalism, skilled communication and excellence.
Yes, sometimes in OPD you do have to wait. There are many patients with complex conditions, some of which may take extra time to assess.
Bring a book/newspaper,tablet/I pod . Write your shopping list. Time will pass.
I have had the unfortunate experience in "other places" where staff were uncommunicative, ambiivalent, apathetic and downright rude.
Not so at the Brompton. I've been through a range of departments now and had excellent care in all of them. Thank you so very much.
"Continuing excellence."
