"Such a gent of a man"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Day Surgery University Hospital Wishaw / Pain Management Clinic

(as the patient),

I was in for my right sacroiliac joint injection at Wishaw general d. s. u and from the moment I entered the 2 girls on reception were lovely and welcoming then when I was called through I got introduced to my nurse( I can't remember her name sorry brain fog. ) she was absolutely lovely. Then Dr James, well what a gem of a man he put my cannula in and was very calming.

Then when the student nurse and the anaesthetist came to take me into theatre they were amazing talking away and putting me at ease. Then into theatre all the staff were lovely and making me feel at ease ready for my injection. (now all your pride goes out the door especially when your backside is in full view not a pretty site I'm sure).

So thank you to all staff that looked after me today they were all amazing. Dr James he is such a gent of a man thank you again. X

Dear concerned846,

Many thanks for taking the time to post your comments. I am delighted that your experience within the day surgery unit was such a positive one. The staff will be delighted to hear that they made what would have been a very anxious time for you more bearable. I will ensure that your comments will be shared with all staff in the unit especially Dr James.

I hope that you are recovering well

Best Wishes

Maureen
