I am also sending a letter to the Chief Exec to thank all the staff in A&E, on Thrushle ward and on Hartor ward who cared for my brother in law, who was taken ill whilst visiting us in Cornwall and admitted into Derriford for a couple of weeks whilst waiting for means of repatriation back to France. My niece, on a visit to her father said something like: "In France, the decor would have been more attractive, he would have been guaranteed a room of his own, but the staff would have been officious, less present, and he would not have had the same degree of friendliness and care". This is proving right in the hospital he was transferred to in Brest. Well done Derriford and a big Thank You!
