I went in for my operation on the 10th May, from my initial attendance diagnosis and pre op . I experienced staff who were professional, caring and treated me with the utmost respect. This my second operation at this Hospital, this I was admitted via the Baschurch Day Unit. The whole reception experience to my preparation for my operation was both slick and seamless. At a time when stress levels are everything was explained. I would signal my Anaesthetist for special comment the Anaesthetist took care to explain the process giving me choices based on my past experiences. The Anaesthetist even visited me post op to check I was ok, they asked to record my experience in Diary so they could learn for the future. The aftercare on the ward was first rate, food first class. This Hospital should be held as a Beacon of best practice within the NHS.
