"Possible retinal detachment"

About: Birmingham Midland Eye Centre (Bmec)

Arrived at 5 pm on a Saturday having telephoned first. Cataract surgery six months before now having unpleasant symptoms with floaters and loss of acute vision in that eye.

Seen immediately on arrival by triage nurse. Then after drops inserted seen ten minutes later by excellent doctor. Professional, reassuring and clear in their description of posterior vitreous detachment. Partner had been anxious about his symptoms as they matched that of retinal detachment. The doctor was thorough and clinically very professional . Many thanks to them and their team.

THe NHS at its best.
