"Toxic Culture"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital / General surgery

The junior doctors are extremely patronising and arrogant.

They don't include patients in decisions about their care and go out of their way to be obstructive and difficult.

There is also a Manager who was extremely rude, aggressive and intimidating to me for no valid reason since I had been waiting all afternoon to leave and the junior doctor who was behind them created delays which affected me being able to do so. This person was rude and aggressive to me and my husband in front of our young child.

He was so upset by it that he was rubbing my hand saying "it's ok mummy'.

My husband who is not easily shocked said he had to pinch himself to make sure it had actually happened.

He had never seen anyone behave in such an unprofessional and intimidating manner. My poor child is still talking about it yet.
