I was admitted to have an op for a huge cyst/tumour on my pancreas, which meant I had to lose half my pancreas, my spleen and when in theatre they found it stuck to my bowel and I needed part of my bowel removing. This was a huge op and I was in theatre for about ten hours. The surgeon was amazing and I have never trusted anyone as much. My nurse was so caring and reassuring they has been a phone call away all through the recovery which I am still going through. All the staff nurses, doctors, theatre staff just everybody were brilliant and I felt so safe with them especially on ward 8 such a lovely ward dedicated to people with pancreas and liver problems. I was in hospital 11 days and can say they were 11 safe, comfortable, caring days. Thank you MRI for making a particularly hard few weeks and months better.
